Why learn German?
Around 130 million people worldwide speak German as their mother tongue or as a second language. German is the most widely spoken mother tongue in the European Union and is the official language in many countries.
The new spouse reunification law has existed since August 28, 2007 (Section 30 of the Residence Act).
Without proof of simple German language skills (A1 level), there is no longer a long-term visa for Germany, for fiancées and spouses (with a few exceptions).
Even for most Thais, the long-term visa they desire (marriage visa, au pair visa, study visa) is only possible through an A1 German language course.
If your partner would like to live in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, we will prepare them quickly, specifically, professionally and effectively for the legally required German test (Start Deutsch 1) – also known as the A1 test (Goethe test) for short.
For information on the visa requirements (long-term visa) for Austria and Switzerland, please contact your local representative (consulate / embassy).
If you want to learn German for professional reasons, you’ve come to the right place. Our lessons for employees of a company are structured in such a way that we tailor the lessons to your relevant areas of interest. Hotel employees need different vocabulary than employees in the automotive or textile industry, for example.

Many years of experience and goal-oriented teaching
For over a decade, Easy ABC has provided language and computer training to private individuals and company employees.

We guarantee A1 exam success
If someone does not pass the A1 exam with us after completing the German lessons – despite regular participation in the A1 course – s/he can continue learning with us in a subsequent group course, FREE of charge, until they pass the exam.

Details about the German course
A new German group course to prepare for the legally required Goethe exam (Start German 1) starts every month and usually takes about 3 months.
The German group lessons take place daily (Monday to Friday) for 2 hours (120 minutes) each. The course teacher provides explanations and addresses questions in Thai . This not only makes learning easier, it also encourages students to ask questions if they don’t understand something. Only people who can speak the Thai language can take part in the German group course. For everyone else, we recommend private lessons (one-to-one training), where the teacher can adapt to their individual needs.
For everyone else, we recommend private lessons (one-to-one training), where the teacher can adapt to their individual needs. Here the students are taught to read, write and pronounce common vocabulary used in daily life, as well as test-relevant vocabulary. Participation in this introductory course is strongly recommended, as it makes it much easier for students to get started with the A1 course and maintain pace with the other students. The Literacy course (Alpha course) comprises 20 hours of lessons and then continues on to the 100-hour A1 course.
Homework is given every day so that the essentials can be repeated at home.
A progress examination takes place after approximately50 hours of instruction. 60 percent or higher should be achieved. In the case of serious learning deficits, repetition in another, subsequent German group is recommended. If you have a difficulties learning, we recommend taking part in a tutoring course, which can address your specific learning weaknesses. A tutoring course usually consists of 20 lessons and takes place after the main course lessons.
An A1 pre-test is carried out shortly before the end of the course. This test is intended to prepare the students for the actual A1 exam. It replicates the feeling of the A1 exam and shows a result that determines their performance levels. Those who pass this test with at least 60 out of 100 percentage points can be registered for the A1-Goethe exam.
If the minimum number of points (60 percentage points) is narrowly missed, you have the opportunity to take part in an exam preparation course (10 to 20 hours) prior to the Goethe exam in order to close the remaining learning gaps.
At the end of the course, an average student should be able to pass the legally required test Start Deutsch 1 (also known as the “A1 test”) and obtain the required A1 certificate for the long-term visa or marriage visa. The prerequisite is, of course, diligent learning (even after regular German lessons) and regular attendance. If the pre-test falls significantly below the minimum number of points, we offer a partial course repeat, which can be done free of charge with regular participation in the A1 course.
Our students are also given homework, which requires around 2-3 hours every day to complete. This means that each of our students learns German intensively for at least 4-5 hours per day in combination with the group lessons.
Our guarantee of success
If the student doesn’t pass the exam on the first attempt, or the student is not yet ready for the exam at the end of the course, the course can be repeated free of charge in a subsequent A1 group course, until the exam is passed. The only requirement for charge free learning is regular and uninterrupted participation.
Based on our many years of experience, on average over 80% of our test participants pass the A1 test at the Goethe-Institut on the first attempt.
We are very proud of this – and it gives you the certainty that with Easy ABC you have the right partner.
Teaching aids for the German course
The students require certain textbooks to learn German.
In order not to put those who learn here in Pattaya at a disadvantage compared to those who learn in Bangkok, we use the same teaching materials as are used at the Goethe-Institut in Bangkok.
These can be obtained directly from us at the regular retail price (total price: 4,570 baht for 4 textbooks incl. 2 CDs, a vocabulary book, 1 dictionary and 3 writing books).
Please note that some of these books are also used in Germany for the integration course. This saves you additional costs for teaching materials in Germany.
We use the the same teaching materials as used by the Goethe-Institut, so we can train specifically for success in the exam.
You do not incur any additional costs for registering for the language course, photocopies, etc. The lessons are taught by a German teacher whose mother tongue is German or by Thais with a lot of experience and excellent knowledge of German.
Our course offers
Group lessons
A group consists of 4 to 15 participants. The German group course takes place every day from Monday to Friday for 2 hours. In the middle of each lesson there is a short coffee / washroom break. Missed lessons cannot be appended as the course begins and concludes at the same time for all participants.
For people who want to stay flexible in terms of time, one-to-one training / private lessons are recommended.
Private lessons
The advantage of private lessons (one-to-one training) is that it can start at any time and the pace of learning can be individually adapted to the student. The lesson times and the duration of the course can be individually tailored to your needs. Course interruptions are possible by arrangement. If desired, other people (friends, acquaintances, family members) can also take part in the course for a small surcharge.
Literacy course (Alpha course)
Course duration 20 hours. This course is booked by most participants enrolled in an A1 German course and it makes it much easier to get started with the A1 main course. The Literacy course focuses on reading, writing and pronunciation of common German and exam-relevant vocabulary. Grammar is taught in the A1 course.
A1 course participants receive the Literacy course at a special price.
Tutoring lessons
With tutoring lessons, learning difficulties can be addressed while the actual A1 course is running simultaneously. Tutoring can take place in groups or as one-to-one training and is usually carried out on the same day, after the main course lessons.
Tutoring is primarily used to immediately address gaps in learning and to prevent following behind in the A1 class. Furthermore, it demonstrably facilitates the understanding of the learning content (exercise through repetition).
