A1 German courses for beginners

The spouse reunification law has existed since August 28, 2007 (Paragraph 30 of the Residence Act).

Without proof of simple German language skills, there is no longer a long-term visa for Germany for fiancées and spouses. Even Thais can get the long-term visa they want via an A1 German language course.

If you want to live with your partner in Germany, we can prepare you quickly, professionally and effectively for the German test as required by law (Start Deutsch 1) – previously referred to as the A1-Test..

  • Even without prior knowledge!
  • Fair and inexpensive
  • The right offer for every need
  • Also for professional purposes
  • Private and group courses
  • Taught by native speakers or by Thais with excellent knowledge of German.

The German group lessons

Group courses start with a minimum enrolment of 4 students, but no more than 15 students study in one class.

Small groups provide the teacher the opportunity to address the needs of individual students as well as the needs of the group.

Every German group course (level A1) starts with the alphabet and then progresses on to basic German grammar after a few days.

We recommend participants who can neither read nor write the alphabet and are not yet familiar with simple German vocabularyLiteracy course. Participation in this makes it much easier to get started in the A1 course as well as maintain pace with the other students.

German group lessons take place daily from Monday to Friday, at a predetermined time, for 2 hours each incl. a short break. A lesson lasts 60 minutes with us and not just 45 minutes as with many other schools!

A1 lessons end for all participants after 100 hours. Therfore, lessons missed by individual students therefore cannot be made up.

Should a school holiday or public holiday occur during a course, the course is extended by the period of time alloted for the holiday.

The 3-month A1 course price includes:

  • 100 hours of intensive German training
  • Preliminary examination shortly before the end of the course incl. all photocopies
  • Registration of participants for the exam at the Goethe-Institut (exam fees are separate).
  • After passing the exam, the certificate is picked up directly from Easy ABC.
  • Further learning in the next German group, free of charge, after 100 hours of lessons in the A1 course, if the exam is not passed despite regular, uninterrupted participation.

The A1 test

At least 60% is required to pass the exam.

As already mentioned, on average 80% of our students who take the exam, pass the exam on their initial attempt.

We have already helped well over a thousand German students succeed on the A1 exam.

The sample certificates are publicly displayed in our schools.

Since November 2018, the Goethe Institut has been holding the A1 exam in Pattaya, too.
This means that unnecessary, time-consuming and costly trips to Bangkok are no longer necessary.

You can register for this directly with us.

The registration and exam fee is 4,700 baht (exam in Bangkok).

Students from other schools can also register with us for the exam.

On request, students from other schools can sit a preliminary examination with us to find out their own level of performance. The cost for this is 3,500 baht.

Preliminary examination A1 test

In order to assess the performance level of our students, we carry out a preliminary examination shortly before the end of the course.

This preliminary examination uses the same format and follows the same criteria as the actual A1 examination at the Goethe-Institut.

This is intended to familiarize the student with the examination procedure and provide an assessment his or her progress.

Recognizable weaknesses that come to light in the test can then be addressed in the remaining lessons.

A pre-test is included in our group course and is not charged extra.

Training costs

The tuition fees must be paid in full before the course begins.

Fees can be paid in either euros or Thai baht, in cash or by bank transfer or credit card (directly on site).

If you are not in Thailand, you can transfer fees directly to us from abroad by international transfer or to our Thai school account by fast money transfer (Western Union, Transferwise) or in euros to our German Commerzbank account (please ask us for the current foreign exchange rate).

After receipt of the payment, we will send you a confirmation email. We recommend tuition fees be transferred directly to the school, because unfortunately, as often happens, payments that are sent directly to the students by their partners are not applied to the course fees, but to other things (family support, debt settlement, etc.).
